January Updates
Dear Families,
As we begin the new year, we wanted to share several important updates regarding our programs, staffing, and operations. January marks an exciting chapter for us as we celebrate 10 years in business, with operations first beginning in 2016. We are incredibly grateful for the trust and support our families and students have shown us over the past decade.
We are also excited to announce the opening of our new office in Boca Raton, Florida, effective January 2026. All of our services will be offered at this location as well as at our existing offices and virtually.
SAT & ACT Program Updates (Effective January)
Please note the following changes to our SAT and ACT offerings:
- We will no longer offer Platinum-level SAT & ACT packages.
- SAT and ACT prep will now be available as single-session tutoring at $85/hour at the Platinum level.
- Packages for SAT and ACT prep will be offered exclusively at the Elite Platinum level with Ali only.
- Families may also opt for hourly Elite Platinum sessions with Ali at $100/hour.
These changes allow us to maintain program quality while offering clearer options based on student needs and instructor expertise.
Baseline Scores (SAT, ACT & CLT Students)
All incoming SAT, ACT, and CLT students must have a baseline score before beginning tutoring. This may be completed in one of two ways:
- Submission of an official full-length score report from a prior test, or
- Completion of a full-length practice test with us prior to the first session
Baseline data is essential for personalization and progress tracking.
Staffing & Scheduling Notices
- Nancy will be taking a long-awaited bucket list vacation to Hawaii at the end of January through early February. In-person sessions with Nancy in Naples will not be scheduled during this time.
- Kylie remains on maternity leave and is spending this month with her newest bundle of joy. She is expected to return in February.
- Ali will be traveling for a professional conference at the end of January; no sessions will be scheduled with her during that time.

- Sarasota: Openings for in person available
- Fort Myers & Knoxville: Wait Listing
- Boca Raton: Openings for in person available
- FOCUS (Virtual) Sessions: Ample availability for all students
Booking, Payments & Agreements (Summary)
- All sessions must be paid at the time of booking. Unpaid appointments are automatically canceled.
- A signed 2025–2026 Tutoring Agreement is required for all students. Discounts and services pause if the agreement is not signed within 7 days.
- Discounted session rates require a signed session contract; otherwise, standard hourly rates apply.
- All scheduling must be managed through our online calendars. Available times listed are the only available options.
- Please do not book more than one session per day or back-to-back sessions with different tutors.
Cancellations
- A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule- no exceptions for any reason as we enter our busiest season
- Late cancellations or missed sessions are charged in full.
- Cancellations must be completed by clicking the cancel link via your confirmation email or by emailing Ali at atozer@spstutor.com. Please do not contact staff directly to cancel

As we head into November, please take a moment to review the following important updates and reminders regarding scheduling, staffing, and tutoring policies.
1. Baseline Scores (SAT, ACT, and CLT Students)
All incoming SAT, ACT, and CLT students must have baseline scores prior to beginning tutoring. This can be provided in one of two ways:
- Option 1: Submit an official, full-length score report from a prior test.
- Option 2: Complete a full-length practice test with us before your first session.
This baseline data is essential—it allows us to personalize your program and accurately measure progress throughout tutoring.
2. Staffing & Locations
- Naples: Kylie is currently on maternity leave. Nancy, a retired CCPS teacher, has stepped in to cover her sessions on Mondays at the Naples office.
- Sarasota & Naples: Both locations are currently on a waitlist; we anticipate opening additional availability once new staff are onboarded.
- Fort Myers & Knoxville: These locations still have openings.
- FOCUS Sessions: Plenty of virtual availability remains for all students.
3. Scheduling Notices
- Ali will be away for a conference during the first week of November and will not be seeing students during that time.
- We follow the CCPS holiday calendar.
- Thanksgiving Break: November 22–30 (no sessions for staff).
- Winter Break: December 20–January 4 (no sessions currently planned).
- Special Availability: Ali will offer limited Elite Platinum sessions on November 24 and 25 from 8:00–11:00 a.m. if you want sessions over Thanksgiving Break.
Please plan ahead for these closures and limited dates.
4. Booking & Payment
- All sessions must be paid at the time of booking.
- Unpaid appointments will be automatically cancelled without notice.
- Students cannot attend sessions without a signed contract on file.
5. Tutoring Agreements & Discounted Packages
- Every client must sign the 2025–2026 Tutoring Agreement (emailed to you). If not signed within 7 days, the agreement will be revoked, and services/discounts will pause until a new agreement is signed.
- To receive the discounted 10-session rate, a 10-session contract must be signed. Otherwise, all sessions will be billed at the standard hourly rate.
6. Scheduling & Calendars
- Available times on our online calendars are the only available options.
- Manage appointments directly using the calendar links in your confirmation emails.
- You’ll receive automated confirmations and reminders (one day before and one hour before your session).
- Please do not book more than one session per day. Back-to-back appointments with different tutors are not permitted to avoid burnout and maintain effectiveness.
7. Cancellations
- Cancellations may be made via your confirmation email link or by emailing atozer@spstutor.com.
- Please do not contact staff directly to cancel sessions.
- At least 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule.
- Sessions cancelled with less notice—or missed entirely—will be charged in full, with no exceptions.

2. Staffing & Locations
- Kylie will be on maternity leave beginning this month. Ali will temporarily step back into the Naples office to see students until we find a suitable hire to join our team.
- Naples: Currently on a waitlist for in-person students.
- Sarasota, Fort Myers, and Knoxville: In-person openings are available.
- Virtual sessions remain open and unaffected.
3. Scheduling Notices
- Ali will be away for a conference the first week of November and will not be seeing any students during this time.
- We follow the CCPS holiday calendar. There will be no sessions during:
- Thanksgiving Break: November 22–30
- Winter Break: December 20 – January 4

- Please do not book more than one appointment per day. Back-to-back sessions with different tutors are not permitted, as this reduces effectiveness and can cause student burnout.
7. Cancellations
- Cancellations can be made through the links in your confirmation emails or by emailing atozer@spstutor.com. Please DO NOT email staff directly to cancel—direct all cancellation requests to Ali.
- You must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Sessions cancelled with less notice—or missed entirely—will still be charged in full, with no exceptions.
8. Previous Credits
If you were a client in previous years with unused sessions, those have been converted into a cash credit. Please note: credit never expires and can be applied toward the new pricing structure listed on our Pricing Page.
