Our Monthly Email Updates

Dear Families,

As we head into November, please take a moment to review the following important updates and reminders regarding scheduling, staffing, and tutoring policies.


1. Baseline Scores (SAT, ACT, and CLT Students)

All incoming SAT, ACT, and CLT students must have baseline scores prior to beginning tutoring. This can be provided in one of two ways:

  • Option 1: Submit an official, full-length score report from a prior test.
  • Option 2: Complete a full-length practice test with us before your first session.

This baseline data is essential—it allows us to personalize your program and accurately measure progress throughout tutoring.


2. Staffing & Locations

  • Naples: Kylie is currently on maternity leave. Nancy, a retired CCPS teacher, has stepped in to cover her sessions on Mondays at the Naples office.
  • Sarasota & Naples: Both locations are currently on a waitlist; we anticipate opening additional availability once new staff are onboarded.
  • Fort Myers & Knoxville: These locations still have openings.
  • FOCUS Sessions: Plenty of virtual availability remains for all students.


3. Scheduling Notices

  • Ali will be away for a conference during the first week of November and will not be seeing students during that time.
  • We follow the CCPS holiday calendar.
  • Thanksgiving Break: November 22–30 (no sessions for staff).
  • Winter Break: December 20–January 4 (no sessions currently planned).
  • Special Availability: Ali will offer limited Elite Platinum sessions on November 24 and 25 from 8:00–11:00 a.m. if you want sessions over Thanksgiving Break.

Please plan ahead for these closures and limited dates.


4. Booking & Payment

  • All sessions must be paid at the time of booking.
  • Unpaid appointments will be automatically cancelled without notice.
  • Students cannot attend sessions without a signed contract on file.


5. Tutoring Agreements & Discounted Packages

  • Every client must sign the 2025–2026 Tutoring Agreement (emailed to you). If not signed within 7 days, the agreement will be revoked, and services/discounts will pause until a new agreement is signed.
  • To receive the discounted 10-session rate, a 10-session contract must be signed. Otherwise, all sessions will be billed at the standard hourly rate.


6. Scheduling & Calendars

  • Available times on our online calendars are the only available options.
  • Manage appointments directly using the calendar links in your confirmation emails.
  • You’ll receive automated confirmations and reminders (one day before and one hour before your session).
  • Please do not book more than one session per day. Back-to-back appointments with different tutors are not permitted to avoid burnout and maintain effectiveness.


7. Cancellations

  • Cancellations may be made via your confirmation email link or by emailing atozer@spstutor.com.
  • Please do not contact staff directly to cancel sessions.
  • At least 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule.
  • Sessions cancelled with less notice—or missed entirely—will be charged in full, with no exceptions.

1. Baseline Scores (SAT, ACT, CLT Students)

  • Kylie will be on maternity leave beginning this month. Ali will temporarily step back into the Naples office to see students until we find a suitable hire to join our team.
  • Naples: Currently on a waitlist for in-person students.
  • Sarasota, Fort Myers, and Knoxville: In-person openings are available.
  • Virtual sessions remain open and unaffected.

3. Scheduling Notices

8. Previous Credits
If you were a client in previous years with unused sessions, those have been converted into a cash credit. Please note: credit never expires and can be applied toward the new pricing structure listed on our Pricing Page.
