  • A 5 point gain on ACT
  • A 200 point gain on SAT

Though this is the average. we have had many students exceed these gains, some achieving perfect scores on SAT & ACT exams

The ROI?

After an initial investment of $975 for a 10-session test preparation program, many of the students we work with go on to qualify for the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship. At a minimum, this scholarship covers 75% of tuition at a Florida public four-year university, while 54% of our students earn the Florida Academic Scholars award, which covers 100% of tuition. For families, this translates to an estimated 36×–47× return on their investment in test preparation.

Our In-Person vs FOCUS sessions

Effective April 1, 2025, SAT, ACT, and CLT prep services are recommended to be delivered through our FOCUS session model.

This recommendation is the result of a comprehensive data analysis conducted during the 2024–2025 school year. While we have always tracked student growth, this was the first year we formally compared outcomes between in-person instruction and virtual FOCUS sessions. Although FOCUS has been part of our offerings for several years, its impact had never been quantitatively measured until now.

Our data in Spring of 2025  revealed the following:

  • ACT Prep
    • FOCUS sessions: Average gain of 5 points
    • In-person sessions: Average gain of 3 points
  • SAT Prep
    • FOCUS sessions: Average gain of 200 points
    • In-person sessions: Average gain of 70 points

This analysis confirmed that FOCUS sessions have consistently produced stronger outcomes—a trend that had existed since their inception but was formally validated this year.

Why are our FOCUS sessions so effective?

  • Proven results: Higher average score gains on both SAT and ACT
  • Flexible scheduling: Learn from anywhere without sacrificing instructional quality
  • Highly customized: Individualized plans aligned to each student’s strengths, gaps, and testing timeline
  • Allows for review: Post session students can go back to review what we covered

At SPS Tutor LLC, we reject a one-size-fits-all approach. Every student receives instruction from certified educators who design personalized learning plans rooted in data, strategy, and experience. While we proudly continue to offer in-person options, our responsibility is to share what our results show—so families can make informed, confident decisions.

We’re not just preparing students for a test—we’re helping them shape their future.
